Johnny Marr’s guitars have sold for a total of £3,649,280 at Christie’s in London, with the 111-lot Marr’s Guitars: The Johnny Marr Collection auction generating more than three times its original presale estimates. The September 17 sale attracted registered bidders from 34 countries, while 81% of participants were bidding at Christie’s for the first time.
