Lady Gaga and Doechii have teamed up for a new track titled Runway, previewed in the first trailer for The Devil Wears Prada 2.

The song features in the newly released teaser, offering fans their first listen to the collaboration ahead of the film’s release. Built around an upbeat, fashion-forward dance sound, Runway plays throughout the trailer and sets the tone for the sequel.

First listen lands with trailer release

The preview marks the first official reveal of the Gaga and Doechii collaboration, tying directly into the film’s rollout campaign. While full release details for the track have yet to be confirmed, its placement in the trailer signals a key role in the soundtrack.

Gaga praises Doechii’s songwriting

Gaga has previously spoken about her admiration for Doechii’s writing, highlighting her as a standout new voice.

“You don’t often see someone come out of the gate with a pen that feels immediately legendary. That’s Doechii to me. I fell in love with her music and her raw, deeply personal perspective.”

“The power in her words, her vulnerability, the way she rhymes with this wild mix of audacity and emotional precision – it struck me to the core.”

Gaga to appear in sequel film

Alongside contributing to the soundtrack, Gaga is also set to appear in the film. She filmed her scenes during her Mayhem Ball Tour last year, following recent screen roles including Joker: Folie à Deux and a cameo in Wednesday.

Montreal show cancelled due to illness

The announcement comes shortly after Gaga was forced to cancel a scheduled performance in Montreal due to a respiratory infection.

She had been due to perform at the Bell Centre on Monday (06.04.26) but withdrew on medical advice.

“Hi everyone, I’m so sorry to share that I’m unable to perform tonight and have to cancel the show. I’ve been fighting a respiratory infection for the past few days and doing everything I can to rest and recover, but it’s gotten worse.”

“My doctor has strongly advised me not to perform today and to be honest I don’t think I could give you the quality of a performance today that you deserve.”

She apologised to fans who had planned to attend, describing the decision as difficult after two earlier shows in the city.

“I know how deeply disappointing this is, and I truly could not feel worse about letting you down. I’m so sorry to everyone who made plans to be there and support me.”

“Being in Montreal and performing for you on Thursday and Friday was magical and deeply meaningful. To everyone who was coming tonight, I’m absolutely heartbroken and so sorry.”
