Noah Kahan has joked that Congress should make concertgoers wear diapers after a string of bizarre toilet-related incidents at his recent shows.
The Stick Season singer made the tongue-in-cheek remark during a concert in Washington, D.C., using his regular Dial Drunk segment, where he pretends to make humorous phone calls during the show.

During the mock call, Kahan joked that lawmakers should step in after reports of fans relieving themselves in the crowd.
“Oh, Congress? Yeah people have been p***ing all over the floor at my shows.”
He then added:
“You heard Congress, f***ing put some diapers on next time, y’all.”
The moment follows a viral incident at Kahan’s concert at Citizens Bank Park in Philadelphia in June, where a TikTok video appeared to show what social media users believed was human waste near seats close to the stage. The incident was never officially confirmed.
Singer previously urged fans to use the bathroom
Rather than ignore the speculation, Kahan addressed it on social media with his trademark self-deprecating humour.
He wrote on X:
“If you have to poop at a show please dear god just go to the bathroom lmao I’ve pooped my pants as much as the next 29 year old but you guys gotta understand there’s a venue worker out there with a 1000 yard stare after dealing with that.”
The Vermont-born singer then joked about one of his own performances, adding:
“I s*** myself onstage in Charlottesville but that’s because I am dedicated to my craft.”
Olivia Rodrigo has noticed the same trend
The discussion comes after Olivia Rodrigo revealed that some fans wear adult diapers at concerts to avoid leaving their place near the front of the crowd.
Speaking to KISS FM in June, she said:
“I have been to certain concerts and certain festivals where people wear diapers so that they can be front row of the show, and that’s been an experience as a performer that I have smelled.”
Bathroom humour has become part of Noah Kahan’s act
Kahan has frequently joked about toilets and bathroom humour in recent interviews.
Speaking to the BBC earlier this year, he admitted some of his best songwriting ideas come while sitting in the bathroom.
“The bathroom has really good acoustics, and I always think it’s funny to be sitting on the toilet playing music.
“My fans seem to like it when I talk about poop and stuff, so it’s a good way to mix music and bathroom humour.”
