Ed Sheeran surprised fans at New Jersey’s MetLife Stadium on Friday 4 September 2026, bringing Camila Cabello on stage during his Loop Tour for a live performance of their 2022 hit “Bam Bam”.
Cabello, 29, joined Sheeran, 35, for the song during the first of his two scheduled MetLife Stadium shows, giving fans a rare opportunity to see the pair perform their collaboration together.

Sheeran introduced Cabello by reflecting on their long-standing friendship before the performance.
“It’s rare to form strong and real friendships, and I’ve been friends with this person for over a decade.”
He explained that the appearance came together at short notice after the pair saw each other earlier that day in New York.
“She was in New York, we saw each other earlier today, and I said, ‘We should sing together.’ It’s one of my favorite songs, I can’t wait to perform it.”
Cabello appeared on stage wearing a white cardigan and green sequined shirt before joining Sheeran on “Bam Bam”. The performance ended with Cabello telling her longtime friend:
“I love you.”
“Bam Bam” was released in March 2022 as the lead single from Cabello’s third studio album, Familia. The Latin-infused pop track was written by Cabello and Sheeran alongside Ricky Reed, Edgar Barrera and Cheche Alara, with Sheeran providing guest vocals.
The song became a major international hit following its release and remains one of the pair’s best-known collaborations.

“Bam Bam” was not the first time Sheeran and Cabello had worked together.
The two artists previously collaborated on “South of the Border”, Sheeran’s 2019 track featuring Cabello and Cardi B. Their friendship and creative relationship have continued for more than a decade.
Cabello has previously spoken about how much she admired Sheeran as an artist, despite their friendship.
“I’m such a huge Ed Sheeran fan, when he first asked me to work with him on ‘South Of The Border,’ I was like, ‘Uh yea, duh,’”
She also recalled being surprised that Sheeran agreed to contribute to her own project.
“Even though we’re friends, he’s such a top-tier artist and I didn’t know if he would say yes to being on my project.”
Cabello described “Bam Bam” as an opportunity for Sheeran to enter her musical world, with the pair working alongside the collaborators involved with Familia.
“I’ve gone over to his world before, and for ‘Bam Bam’ he was coming to my world, into the studios with my collaborators that I worked with on this album, and singing in Spanish on a song that I had written the chorus for,”
She added:
“It was just really cool, and I was honoured that he wanted to be a part of it.”
The collaboration also involved Sheeran contributing to the song’s verse after Cabello had already developed her own version.
“When he came into the studio, he had an idea for the verse, and even though I had a version of the song I was attached to, I trusted him and trusted his ear, and it turns out he was right and made it a million times better!”
The Loop Tour continues
Cabello’s surprise appearance came during Sheeran’s ongoing Loop Tour, which is taking the singer-songwriter to major stadiums as he continues touring behind his latest music.
Sheeran released his Play album in 2025 before launching the current tour. He has also suggested that he could take a break from touring once the run concludes, allowing him to spend more time with his family.
During a June concert in Arizona, Sheeran said:
“I might take some time off once this tour has ended, and do the dad thing,”
