Ozzy Osbourne and Black Sabbath’s final concert will arrive in cinemas worldwide on 28 October 2026, with tickets for OZZY & BLACK SABBATH: BACK TO THE BEGINNING going on sale from 24 September 2026.
The concert film captures Ozzy’s final live performance and the original Black Sabbath lineup’s first reunion in more than 20 years, following their historic show at Birmingham’s Villa Park on 5 July 2025.
Ozzy Osbourne’s final performance captured on film
The Villa Park concert took place just 17 days before Ozzy Osbourne died, making the event his final live appearance.
The sold-out homecoming show saw Ozzy perform a solo set before reuniting with Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler and Bill Ward for Black Sabbath’s final performance together in Birmingham, the city widely associated with the birth of heavy metal.
The film is being released globally for a limited theatrical run by Trafalgar Releasing and Mercury Studios.
Black Sabbath reunited in Birmingham
The concert marked the original Black Sabbath lineup’s first reunion in more than two decades and brought together some of the biggest names in rock and metal for the special event.
The supporting lineup included Metallica, Guns N’ Roses, Slayer, Tool, Pantera and Alice in Chains, alongside the reunited Black Sabbath.
Sharon Osbourne supervised the production, while Rage Against the Machine guitarist Tom Morello served as musical director.
Tony Iommi described the show as a fitting conclusion for Black Sabbath, while Geezer Butler reflected on the atmosphere inside the stadium and the reception from the crowd.
What to expect from Back To The Beginning
OZZY & BLACK SABBATH: BACK TO THE BEGINNING combines footage from the full concert with behind-the-scenes material and reflections from musicians who took part in the event.
Ben Wainwright-Pearce directed the concert film for the cinema, with Tim van Someren responsible for the live concert direction.
The film has also been produced specifically for theatrical presentation, with Dolby Atmos and 5.1 surround sound used to recreate the scale of the Villa Park performance on the big screen.
