Miley Cyrus has turned the spotlight on her relationship with fiancé Maxx Morando in the new song and video for “Let’s Get Married”, released alongside her new album Bass Persuades on 18 September 2026.
The couple, who got engaged in December 2025, appear together throughout the romantic video, which gives fans a more intimate look at their relationship.
Miley and Maxx lounge together in bed and share playful moments in the bathroom, while Maxx also captures atmospheric footage of Miley for the video. At one point, her silhouetted reflection is projected across a wall, adding to the video’s hazy visual style.
The song itself makes its subject clear, with Miley singing about wanting to make their relationship permanent and turn the rest of their lives into a shared escape.
“Let’s go get married tonight / Let’s get married / I’m having visions of white / Let’s get married / Let’s turn the rest of our lives to a holiday / Anytime, anyplace, we can run away / Get married tonight (Diamonds dancing on me) / Let’s get married.”
“Let’s Get Married” arrives as part of Bass Persuades, Miley’s new 10-track album and the first release of her latest musical era.
The record also sees Miley exploring different sounds across its tracklist. “Different Religion”, featuring Model/Actriz, leans into industrial textures, while “Neon Signs”, featuring Andrew Wyatt of Miike Snow, takes a more psychedelic direction.
Miley has also dropped her surname, Cyrus, for the new era.
The “Midnight Sky” singer previously explained the meaning behind the Bass Persuades title, describing music as something that can move people through different parts of their lives.
She wrote on Instagram:
“Music takes hold of us. We feel it, sing it, sometimes dance to it, let it out and carry on. It is powerful, vulnerable, sweet and strong.
“Heart full, heartache, every part of life in between. That’s what the title means to me.
“Thank you for being a part of making my wildest dreams come true. I sincerely hope you love this album.”
Miley will mark the album’s release with two shows at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles on October 16 and 18 October 2026.
