Glastonbury Festival 2027 tickets sold out in just 42 minutes on Sunday 4 October, with thousands of fans joining the online queue to secure places at Worthy Farm in Somerset.
The festival will return from 23 to 27 June 2027 following its fallow year, with standard tickets going on sale at 09:00 BST. Coach packages had already sold out in less than 30 minutes earlier in the week.
Glastonbury 2027 tickets sell out despite record price
Standard Glastonbury tickets cost £408 for the 2027 festival, including the £5 booking fee.
The price represents an increase of £29.50 compared with the 2025 edition and marks the first time the festival ticket price has passed £400.
Despite the higher cost, demand significantly exceeded the number of tickets available, with the standard allocation selling out before many fans could complete their purchase.
The festival has yet to announce its 2027 headliners, although organiser Emily Eavis has said preparations are progressing well.
Fans return to Worthy Farm
Among those who successfully secured tickets are Amersham couple Nick and Helen Nugget, who first met at Glastonbury in 2007.
The pair plan to return with the same group of friends they met at the festival two decades ago, making the 2027 edition part of their celebrations for their 20th wedding anniversary.
Other fans were less fortunate.
Mat Chapman and his daughter Amy once again missed out on tickets, with their latest unsuccessful attempt coming on Amy’s 26th birthday.
For fans who missed the main sale, organisers have confirmed that returned or cancelled tickets will be made available through a resale in spring 2027.
Glastonbury 2027 dates and ticket resale
Glastonbury 2027 will take place at Worthy Farm from 23 to 27 June.
With the standard ticket allocation already sold out, the spring resale will provide another opportunity for registered fans to secure tickets, subject to availability.
The festival is expected to announce its 2027 lineup at a later date.
