GRAMMY Award-winning singer-songwriter Richard Marx will perform in the Middle East for the first time when he plays an all-seated concert at Coca-Cola Arena on Saturday 3 October 2026.
The Dubai show marks a major milestone in Marx’s touring career, bringing more than four decades of hits to UAE audiences for the first time.
Four decades of hits
Across his career, Marx has sold more than 45 million albums worldwide and generated over one billion streams. He has written or performed fourteen No. 1 singles, including Right Here Waiting, Hazard, Hold On to the Nights, and Satisfied.
He remains the only male artist whose first seven singles all reached the Top 5 on the Billboard charts. He is also one of only two artists, alongside Michael Jackson, to write a No. 1 song in four different decades.
Beyond his own recordings, Marx has written and produced major songs for artists including Luther Vandross, Keith Urban, Barbra Streisand, Kenny Rogers and NSYNC. His work for Vandross includes the GRAMMY-winning song Dance with My Father.
What fans can expect in Dubai
The concert will be fully seated, designed to create a more intimate atmosphere that suits Marx’s catalogue and songwriting style. The setlist is expected to span his early hits through later fan favourites.
Marx shared his excitement about performing in the UAE.
“I couldn’t be more excited and looking forward to playing in Dubai for the very first time. The band and I will make sure it’s a night to remember.”
Recent music and projects
Marx arrives in Dubai following recent activity including his album After Hours, which blends Great American Songbook standards with new material. The record features collaborations with Rod Stewart, Kenny G and Chris Botti.
Earlier in 2025 he completed a sold-out five-night residency at Café Carlyle in New York, with surprise appearances from Hugh Jackman and Rita Wilson, and also joined The Voice Australia as a coach.
