Discover 10 Rising Latin Artists Redefining Música Urbana, Regional Mexican, Dembow And Some!

Latin music runs across borders, genres, and generations, but while Latin legends such as Bad Bunny, Karol G, and J Balvin dominate headlines, there’s a wave of rising talent changing the sound of Latin music in real time.

From Mexico to Chile, Puerto Rico to Brazil, here are 10 Latin artists making serious noise right now. If you’re looking to discover your next obsession, start here.

1. Hades66

Straight out of Morovis, Puerto Rico, Hades66 is the new face of Latin trap and drill. His raw sound and street-smart lyrics caught the attention of Anuel AA, Ñengo Flow, and Ozuna early on. He’s racked up major attention with “Milwaukee 2” and a feature on Jay Wheeler’s “Pacto.” If you’re into hard-hitting beats and bars with bite, this one’s for you.

2. Oscar Maydon

Oscar Maydon broke through in 2023 with “Fin de Semana”, his laid-back duet with Junior H. Originally featured on a Natanael Cano track back in 2021, Maydon has gone from collaborator to headliner, blending regional Mexican sounds with a smooth, radio-ready touch.

3. RMAND

RMAND didn’t win Netflix’s “La Firma”, but that didn’t stop him. He’s written for Rauw Alejandro, signed with NEON16, and dropped his debut EP “De Vuelta Al Mundo”. He’s also walked the runway at New York Fashion Week.

4. Mesita

Uruguayan rapper Mesita has made a name in Argentina, where he was one of the first guests on a Bzrp Music Session. His track, “Una Foto,” flows over an RKT beat (the Argentine genre that fuses cumbria villera and reggaeton). It’s flashy but grounded, and it shows why he’s considered one of the most versatile voices in the scene.

5. Stef

From São Paulo’s South Side, Stef’s been rhyming since he was 12. His “Metamorf” EP reflected an experimentation with plugg and trap. His sound has shifted, matured, and now feels bigger than genre.

6. Grupo Frontera

It’s impossible to talk about the explosion of regional Mexican music without mentioning Grupo Frontera. Formed in the Rio Grande Valley, with roots from Tamaulipas and Nuevon León, the group blends norteño with pop to create something fresh and infectious. Since 2022, they’ve collaborated with Bad Bunny and Peso Pluma on chart-dominating tracks including “un x100to” and “Tulum”, cementing their place as the top norteño act of the moment.

7. Nath

Hailing from Medellín, home to Maluma, Karol G, and J Balvin, Nath brings something different to the table. She moves effortlessly between R&B, pop, and reggaeton. Whether it’s the vulnerability of “La Culpa” (featuring Goyo) or the heat of “Deseándote” with Ryan Castro, she’s showing just how wide her range goes.

8. Yaisel LM

Yaisel LM didn’t come up through the industry, he went viral freestyling at work. Now, the Dominican dembow artist is working with the likes of Yomel El Meloso and El Alfa. “El Dueño De Lo Crocky” shows off his high-energy delivery and ear for a hook. He’s proving that raw talent still breaks through.

9. Nickoog CLK

Nickoog CLK is helping define Chile’s música urbana scene. His 2024 album “GIRO 180” is personal, sharp, and varied, reflecting a journey that started back in 2019.

10. Loyal Lobos

Based in LA but rooted in Colombia, Loyal Lobos (aka Andrea Silva) doesn’t follow trends, she sets them. Her bilingual EP “Una Freak” explores vulnerability and identity across indie pop, reggaeton, and cumbia. Her EP, “Loba Vol. 1”, further proves she’s broken through.
