Harry Styles has secured the biggest opening week of his career with Kiss All The Time. Disco, Occasionally., capping an unprecedented start to 2026 that has seen every Number 1 album in the UK held by British artists.
The album debuted at Number 1 on the Official Albums Chart, shifting more than 183,000 copies in its first week, according to the Official Charts Company.
At the same time, Styles’ single American Girls topped the Official Singles Chart, giving him his second Official Chart Double.
Harry Styles lands second chart double
This marks Styles’ second time achieving simultaneous Number 1 positions on both the albums and singles charts, following his 2022 success with Harry’s House and As It Was.
American Girls becomes Styles’ fourth UK Number 1 single, joining:
- Sign of the Times (2017)
- As It Was (2022)
- Aperture (2026)
Biggest opening week for a male artist in nine years
The album’s first week total of 183,000 units comfortably surpasses the 113,000 copies achieved by Harry’s House on release.
It also marks the largest opening week for a male solo artist since Ed Sheeran’s ÷ (Divide) in 2017.
Vinyl played a major role, with more than 66,000 copies sold, making it:

The success extends beyond Styles. The first 11 weeks of 2026 have all been topped by British acts on the Official Albums Chart, the first time this has happened in a decade.

The surge comes alongside record UK music revenues of £1.57 billion, marking an 11th consecutive year of growth.
