Kanye West Announces First European concert In 12 years With Netherlands Show

Kanye West has announced his first European concert in 12 years, confirming a one-night-only live show at GelreDome in Arnhem, the Netherlands, on Saturday 6 June. The performance marks his first full European concert since 2014 and his first appearance in the Netherlands since 2013.

Arnhem show confirmed as part of limited European run

The concert at GelreDome will be the opening date of a short European run. A second show has been confirmed for Reggio Emilia, Italy, on 18 July. No further dates have been announced.

The Arnhem performance will be Kanye West’s first European live concert in more than a decade, following a period where his appearances have largely been limited to listening events rather than full shows.

“We look forward to welcoming Ye to GelreDome. This is an event of international scale and a special moment for Dutch audiences,” a GelreDome spokesperson said.
“We expect significant demand.”

Concert promoter J.Noah Live also highlighted the rarity of the event.

“This will not be a standard concert. It’s a moment like his last show at Gelredome in 2012, still talked about today in The Netherlands.”

First full European concert since 2014

While Kanye West has not staged a full European concert in over 10 years, he has remained intermittently active on the continent. He hosted listening parties for Vultures, his collaborative albums with Ty Dolla $ign, in 2023 and 2024, and his Sunday Service choir performed in Paris in March 2020.

The Arnhem date represents his first traditional headline concert in Europe since 2014.

Recent controversy and public apology

West’s return to the European stage follows several years of controversy linked to antisemitic and racist remarks, which led to the loss of major commercial partnerships.

Last month, he placed a full-page advert in The Wall Street Journal apologising to Jewish and Black communities. He cited his bipolar disorder diagnosis and a car accident 25 years ago as contributing factors to his past behaviour.

He later told Vanity Fair that the apology was not commercially motivated.

“This is because these remorseful feelings were so heavy on my heart and weighing on my spirit.”

New album plans and ticket information

West’s next album, Bully, has been delayed multiple times and is currently scheduled for release on 20 March.

Tickets for the Arnhem concert go on general sale on Friday.
