Lady Gaga and Ricky Martin have publicly thanked Bad Bunny for inviting them to perform during the Apple Music Super Bowl LX Halftime Show on 8 February 2026 at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California. The Puerto Rican superstar headlined the show, becoming the first solo Latino artist to perform a halftime set almost entirely in Spanish.
Bad Bunny’s historic halftime set
Bad Bunny, real name Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio, opened his performance with Tití Me Preguntó and wove together a medley of his hits throughout the show, with celebrity appearances and cultural nods that honoured his heritage.
Lady Gaga joined Bad Bunny on stage for a reinterpretation of her 2024 song Die With a Smile, performed with Latin rhythms. After the show, she took to Instagram to express her appreciation for the opportunity.
“It was my absolute honor to be a part of Benito’s halftime show,” Lady Gaga wrote.
“Thank you Benito for inviting me and thank you to the entire cast for welcoming me onto your stage. I wouldn’t miss it for the world.”
This marked Gaga’s second Super Bowl halftime performance; she previously headlined the 2017 show.
Ricky Martin’s appearance and tribute
Ricky Martin also performed during the halftime set, joining Bad Bunny for Lo Que Le Pasó a Hawaii. After the show, he shared his emotions on X (formerly Twitter), thanking those involved.
“I need several hours to process the tsunami of emotions I’m feeling. Thank you @sanbenito, thank you @ladygaga thank you @NFL, @RocNation and @AppleMusic.”
Martin, a key figure in bringing Latin pop to global audiences, added a generational thread to the performance that connected Bad Bunny’s current prominence with the Latin crossover era of the late 1990s and early 2000s.
Celebrity cameos and cultural celebration
The halftime show also featured appearances from stars including Cardi B, Karol G, Jessica Alba, and Pedro Pascal, who joined the celebration on stage. The performance paid homage to Puerto Rican culture and broader Latin identity, blending music, visuals and community references in a set that was both festive and symbolic.
Bad Bunny’s set included tracks such as Yo Perreo Sola, EoO, Monaco and El Apagón, closing with DtMF and reaffirming his position as one of the most influential artists in global music today.
