Legendary British funk-pop band Level 42 will bring their iconic hits to Bla Bla Dubai on 21 November 2025 as part of their World Machine 40th Anniversary Tour.
Music lovers in the UAE, mark your calendars. Level 42, the British jazz-funk icons behind timeless hits like Lessons in Love, Something About You and The Sun Goes Down (Living It Up), are heading to Dubai for a one-night-only live show at Bla Bla on Friday 21 November 2025.
Formed in 1979, Level 42 became a defining act of the ‘80s, fusing jazz, funk, and dance-pop into an unmistakable sound that earned them global acclaim. With over 30 chart hits, international tours, and millions of records sold, the band remains a staple of UK pop history.
Their 1985 breakthrough album World Machine catapulted them into international stardom, with success in the U.S., Europe, and beyond. And now, as part of their World Machine 40th Anniversary Tour, which includes 32 UK venues and sold-out shows at London’s Royal Albert Hall and Palladium, the band is heading to Dubai.
Still led by founding member and bassist Mark King, known for his virtuoso slap-bass technique, Level 42 will take over Bla Bla, the sprawling JBR beachside venue known for hosting major acts like OneRepublic, The Script, and The Human League. With 21 bars, a restaurant, beach club, and nightclub, it’s one of Dubai’s most vibrant nightlife spots — and the perfect stage for a retro-fuelled night of live music.
