Liam Gallagher has once again dismissed the possibility of new Oasis music, telling fans the band has no plans to record another album despite their hugely successful reunion.
The Oasis frontman responded to a fan on X who urged the band to release new material, explaining that the expectations surrounding a comeback record would simply be too high.

Replying to a fan asking for a new Oasis record, Gallagher joked that anything the band released would face impossible levels of scrutiny.
“NO I’m just not prepared for the criticism if it doesn’t sell 100 million copies in the 1st hour cure bad breath and constipation for the nation if it doesn’t turn back time for Cher and some other s*** let’s just to some gigs and be happy thank you (sic)”
Gallagher has made similar comments previously, suggesting the pressure to match Oasis’ classic albums would outweigh any desire to make new music.
Oasis are focusing on live shows
Oasis’ last studio album, Dig Out Your Soul, was released in 2008, a year before the band split following a backstage argument between Liam and Noel Gallagher.
After ending their long-running feud, the brothers reunited in 2025 for the hugely successful Oasis Live ’25 tour.
While a new album appears to be off the table, Gallagher has repeatedly hinted that the band’s return to the stage is far from over.
2027 tour rumours continue to grow
Speculation continues to build around a reported run of Oasis shows in 2027, with rumours suggesting the band could play multiple dates at Manchester’s Etihad Stadium and return to Knebworth, where they famously performed two landmark concerts in 1996.
Gallagher has fuelled the rumours with a series of cryptic replies on X.
When one fan asked whether the crowd’s popular Poznań celebration during Cigarettes & Alcohol would continue in 2027, he replied:
“Oh it will.”
Asked about reports linking Oasis to Slane Castle in Ireland, Gallagher responded:
“Good question.”
When another fan tried to press him about Scottish dates, he simply replied:
“Stop trying to cause theatre.”
He also joked that Oasis would be playing Manchester’s Etihad Stadium for:
“a whole year.”
Gallagher has also hinted that the band could return to Rome as part of any future touring plans.
For now, however, fans hoping Oasis will follow their reunion with a new studio album appear to have their answer.
