Look Mum No Computer will represent the United Kingdom at the 2026 Eurovision Song Contest, set to take place in Vienna, Austria this May. The 70th edition of the annual competition will conclude with the Grand Final on Saturday 16 May at Wiener Stadthalle.
The artist, whose real name is Sam Battle, is a British YouTuber, producer and electronics builder known for designing and performing with custom-made synthesisers.
In a statement, he said:
“I find it completely bonkers to be jumping on this wonderful and wild journey. I have always been a massive Eurovision fan, and I love the magical joy it brings to millions of people every year, so getting to join that legacy and fly the flag for the UK is an absolute honour that I am taking very seriously.”
He added:
“I’ve been working a long-time creating, writing, and producing my own visions from scratch, and documenting my process. I will be bringing every ounce of my creativity to my performances, and I can’t wait for everyone to hear and see what we’ve created. I hope Eurovision is ready to get synthesized!”
Who is Look Mum No Computer?
Sam Battle first gained attention in 2014 as frontman of indie rock band ZIBRA, which performed at Glastonbury Festival in 2015.
He launched his solo project Look Mum No Computer in 2019, releasing albums, EPs and touring internationally. On YouTube, he is widely known for building unconventional electronic instruments and modular synth systems. He also holds a Guinness World Records title for creating the world’s largest drone synthesiser.
His Eurovision entry will receive its first radio play on BBC Radio 2 during The Scott Mills Breakfast Show in the coming weeks.

The 2026 contest marks the 70th anniversary of Eurovision. Vienna will host the event, with semi-finals scheduled in the week leading up to the Grand Final on 16 May.
