Luke Combs Makes UK Country Music History With Wembley Stadium And Murrayfield Shows

Luke Combs

Luke Combs has made UK country music history after becoming the first country artist to headline Wembley Stadium, completing a landmark run of stadium concerts that attracted more than 355,000 fans.

The American star performed three sold-out shows at Wembley Stadium between 31 July and 2 August 2026, before also headlining Scottish Gas Murrayfield Stadium in Edinburgh as part of his My Kinda Saturday Night Tour.

Luke Combs becomes first country headliner at Wembley Stadium

Combs’ Wembley performances mark the first time a country artist has headlined the 90,000-capacity stadium.

While Taylor Swift previously played Wembley in 2024, she had transitioned from country into pop by the time of those concerts.

Support across the London shows came from Thomas Rhett, Ty Myers and The Castellows.

Before arriving in London, Combs also performed two concerts at Slane Castle and two headline dates at Murrayfield in Edinburgh.

Across the London and Edinburgh stadiums alone, more than 355,000 tickets were sold, making it the largest country music concert event ever staged in the UK.

Luke Combs continues to grow in the UK

Combs has become one of country music’s biggest success stories in Britain, scoring eight Top 75 singles on the Official UK Singles Chart.

His biggest-selling track in the UK remains “When It Rains It Pours”, with 1,064,983 units consumed, despite never charting as a single.

It is closely followed by his version of “Fast Car”, which has reached 999,322 units and is on course to become his second UK million-selling single.

On the Official UK Albums Chart, Combs has earned:

  • Three Top 10 albums
  • Five Top 40 albums

His latest album, The Way I Am, reached No. 4 earlier this year and has sold 57,986 units in the UK to date.

Meanwhile, his most-consumed album remains This One’s For You, which has sold 341,374 UK units.

The record-breaking stadium run further cements Combs’ growing popularity in the UK and marks a significant milestone for country music’s expanding audience across Britain.
