Martin Garrix Announces Debut Pop Album Marty Featuring Madonna, U2 And Ed Sheeran

Martin Garrix

Martin Garrix has announced his debut pop album, Marty, featuring collaborations with Madonna, U2, Ed Sheeran and Spanish singer Aitana. The 14-track record is scheduled for release on 5 March 2027, marking a new chapter for the Dutch DJ more than a decade after his breakthrough hit Animals.

Garrix gave some of his most dedicated listeners an early preview of new music at a Spotify Pop-Up show in Amsterdam on Wednesday, offering a first taste of the project ahead of its release.

Martin Garrix opens a new chapter with Marty

Despite spending much of his life making music, Garrix says he still sees himself as being at the beginning of his artistic journey.

“Even though I’ve been doing this for most of my life, I still feel like I’m just at the beginning.”

He described Marty as a record about personal development, changing perspectives and the lasting impact people have on one another.

“That’s really what this album is about: growth, moving through different chapters of life, and understanding that the love we give and the energy we put out into the world don’t just disappear when we’re gone. I want to take people with me on that journey and let them experience all those different stages of growth alongside me.”

The album’s 14 tracks will feature an impressive list of collaborators, bringing Garrix together with artists whose careers span pop, rock and dance music. Madonna, U2, Ed Sheeran and Aitana are among the names confirmed for the project.

Further details about individual tracks and the collaborations have yet to be provided in the announcement.

From Animals to a debut pop album

Garrix first broke through internationally with Animals in 2013. The instrumental dance track became a defining release in his early career and helped establish him as one of electronic music’s most recognisable young stars.

Since then, he has expanded his catalogue beyond festival-focused EDM, working with vocalists and artists across different genres.

His Billboard Hot 100 entries include Animals and In the Name of Love, his collaboration with Bebe Rexha, which reached the chart’s top 40.

Garrix has also built a strong record on Billboard’s Dance Airplay chart, earning 32 entries. Among his number-one hits on the chart are Higher Ground, featuring John Martin, and Told You So, featuring Jex.

Marty represents a further step into pop songwriting, with Garrix bringing his electronic production background to a full-length album built around a wide range of collaborators.

Martin Garrix takes his new music on tour

Garrix is currently on his Martin Garrix Americas Tour, continuing his live schedule while preparing for the album’s release in March 2027.

The Amsterdam preview gave selected fans an early opportunity to hear some of the new material before it reaches streaming platforms.

With Madonna, U2 and Ed Sheeran among the artists set to feature, Marty brings together an unusually broad group of collaborators for Garrix’s first pop album. Its release will offer a clearer picture of how the DJ plans to develop his sound beyond the dance music that first made his name.
