Miley Cyrus Teases New Album With Cryptic Social Media Post

Miley Cyrus

Miley Cyrus appears to be preparing to announce her next album after sharing a cryptic image on Sunday 30 August 2026 with fans speculating that her first name could be the title of the forthcoming project.

The 33-year-old singer posted a dramatic close-up of her eyes on social media and displayed the same image on her official website. While Cyrus did not include a caption, the website features the word “MILEY” in bold lettering, prompting speculation that the name could be connected to the title of her new album.

Cyrus has yet to formally announce the record or confirm its title.

Miley Cyrus has already revealed details about the album

Cyrus gave fans some insight into the new project in June, when she confirmed that she had signed with Atlantic Records after previously releasing music through Columbia Records.

Speaking to Wonderland magazine around the time of the announcement, Cyrus said the album had been created in a more natural and structured way than some of her previous work.

“This one was different. It was organic and really unforced. Something that was super helpful this time was I started with the tracklist and never veered from it.”

She explained that she had established the album’s size, sound and concept early in the process.

“I knew it would be 10 songs. I roughly knew the sound and the concept. That gave me a really strong compass without making the process feel forced.”

The comments suggest that the forthcoming album will contain 10 tracks, although Cyrus has not yet revealed the tracklist, release date or first single.

Miley Cyrus’ next album follows Something Beautiful

The new project will be Cyrus’ follow-up to Something Beautiful, her ninth studio album, which was released in May 2025.

The album marked another change in direction for the singer, combining pop and experimental influences across its tracklist. Its release was accompanied by a visual project featuring Cyrus.

Her next album will also mark her first full-length release under Atlantic Records following her move away from Columbia.

No official release date has been announced, and representatives for Cyrus have not yet commented on the latest teaser.

Miley Cyrus pays tribute to Dolly Parton

The album speculation comes shortly after Cyrus paid tribute to her late godmother, Dolly Parton.

Parton died aged 80 on 25 August 2026, prompting tributes from musicians and fans around the world. Cyrus, who had a longstanding personal and musical connection with Parton, shared an emotional message on Instagram following her death.

“I will always love her and want to make her proud. My heart breaks for the world, her family and friends who will miss her deeply. We’re in this loss together, and we will see her in all of the most beautiful things.”

Parton’s influence has been a significant part of Cyrus’ life and career. The pair performed together on several occasions, including Cyrus’ 2009 television special Hannah Montana: The Movie era and later musical collaborations.
