She played two shows at London’s Union Chapel on Monday 17 August 2026, which also marked her 32nd birthday.

Taylor Swift praises Phoebe Bridgers’ new album

Bridgers’ health update comes shortly after Taylor Swift publicly praised Lost Weekend.

Swift, who is 36, shared a birthday message for Bridgers on Instagram, describing the new album as “an absolute triumph in every way”.

She also highlighted Bridgers’ approach to writing about grief and the level of vulnerability in her songwriting.

Swift wrote:

“It’s her birthday but she gave us a gift.

“This album is an absolute triumph in every way.”

She later added:

“To write about grief with such vulnerability and detail, and to trust the listener with this much honesty. Happy bday @phoebebridgers I love you!!”

Lost Weekend is Phoebe Bridgers’ first solo album since Punisher

Lost Weekend is Bridgers’ first solo album since 2020’s Punisher.

The six-year gap between solo records was something Bridgers recently discussed during a fan Q&A, explaining that her creative process was often unpredictable.

She said she repeatedly booked studio sessions, then took extended breaks before returning to work on the album.

Bridgers told fans:

“I really wanted to be making something.

“So I just started going in and then taking six months off and then going back. So this album took forever. Which is great!”
