Rag’n’Bone Man has told fans he is “stuck” in a hospital in Lithuania after falling ill just hours before a scheduled performance.
The British singer, real name Rory Graham, was due to play a concert in Kaunas on Tuesday 12 August. His team announced the cancellation on social media, explaining that he had “fallen ill” and was “seeking medical care”.
On Wednesday, the Human hitmaker updated fans from his hospital bed with two selfies on Instagram, one showing him sticking out his tongue and giving a thumbs-down.
“Being stuck in hospital in Lithuania was not on my list of shit to do before you die! Anyone watching anything good? I’ve got lots of time to kill,” he wrote.
He also apologised to ticket holders, adding:
“Sorry to anyone that had tickets to my shows. Trust me I’d rather be on stage!”
The 40-year-old did not reveal the nature of his illness or how long he expects to remain in hospital.
In their original statement, his team told fans:
“We’re deeply sorry to let you know that today’s concert in Kaunas has been cancelled as Rag’n’Bone Man has unfortunately fallen ill. He is currently seeking medical care and we wish him a speedy recovery. Rory will be so upset to have to cancel this show and we’ll be working hard to schedule a show in Lithuania soon.”
The singer is next scheduled to perform in Poznań, Poland on Thursday 14 August, although there has been no official word yet on whether that concert will go ahead.
