Country music icon Trisha Yearwood has officially signed with Virgin Music Group, bringing her Gwendolyn Records label along for the ride and marking a powerful return to Universal Music Group’s MCA Nashville, the label where her legendary career began.
This new partnership signals a milestone moment for the Grammy-winning artist, as she prepares to release her highly anticipated new album The Mirror, due out on July 18, 2025.
“Bringing my Gwendolyn label into the MCA/Universal family truly feels like coming home,” said Yearwood. “Creating this music has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my life.”
This move not only reunites Yearwood with MCA, where she released hits from 1990 to 2006, but also positions her at the forefront of Virgin’s artist-first strategy. With full creative and commercial control, Trisha is stepping into a bold new chapter, one that’s already generating huge buzz across the country music industry.
Two new songs dropping this week
To celebrate the announcement, Trisha Yearwood revealed on Instagram that she’s dropping two brand-new tracks from The Mirror.
“This is a new chapter for me,” she wrote. “My first fully co-written and co-produced album… I am so proud of this record and hope you love it as much as I loved creating it.”
