Landmark year for Van Morrison

The tour extension follows another significant year for Morrison, who recently received the Lifetime Achievement Award at the Jazz FM Awards in recognition of his contribution to music over a career spanning more than six decades.

Earlier this year, he also released his latest studio album, Somebody Tried To Sell Me A Bridge, which explores Morrison’s long-standing love of the blues through interpretations of songs associated with artists including B.B. King, Buddy Guy and Lead Belly.

The album was later issued on vinyl for the first time as a deluxe double LP.

Fresh from European festival appearances

Morrison has spent much of the summer performing across Europe, including an appearance at the renowned Montreux Jazz Festival.

The additional UK concerts give fans another opportunity to see the singer-songwriter perform live following strong demand for his original autumn dates.
