Wet Leg have done it again. The Isle of Wight band’s second studio album, moisturizer, has debuted at Number 1 on the UK’s Official Albums Chart, matching the success of their self-titled debut, which also topped the chart on release in 2022.
Led by Rhian Teasdale and Hester Chambers, with bandmates Henry Holmes, Josh Mobaraki and Ellis Durand, Wet Leg’s latest release also claims top spots on both the Official Vinyl Albums Chart and the Official Record Store Chart, making moisturizer the most-purchased album of the week across physical formats and independent UK record shops.
Their rise hasn’t been quiet. Wet Leg’s irreverent charm and spiky indie sensibility struck a chord fast, winning the Mercury Prize and two Grammy Awards along the way. With moisturizer, they’re clearly not losing momentum.
