Yungblud is taking a stand against sky-high ticket prices and he’s not alone. The British rocker has formed a powerful alliance with The Cure’s Robert Smith and Smashing Pumpkins’ Billy Corgan, uniting over their shared mission to make live music more accessible to fans.
Speaking ahead of his upcoming Bludfest 2025, set for 21 June at Milton Keynes Bowl, the singer confirmed that tickets will remain capped at £65, a move he says is about putting fans first, not profits.
“Me and Robert have such a mutual fire in us to be pioneers in making a change on ticket prices,” Yungblud told The Daily Star. “We’ve become really close, and whenever we meet up or email, we try to make a difference in any way we can.”
He also praised Billy Corgan, calling him a “good mate” in the battle to rethink how the ticketing system operates. The three artists are pushing back on what Yungblud calls the industry’s “apple-for-teacher mentality.”
“I was sick of being told, ‘This is just the way things are,’” he said. “I have no interest in that. All I care about is my community.”
Bludfest Going Global?
At just 27, Yungblud — real name Dominic Harrison — is already looking to scale Bludfest into an international touring festival, inspired by Ozzy Osbourne’s Ozzfest. He’s in talks with venues in France and other locations, with plans to take the show on the road in 2026.
But there’s one dream booking that still tops his wishlist: The Cure.
“If The Cure can play it one day, that would be a dream — just unbelievable,” he said.
What to Expect at Bludfest 2025
Now in its second year, Bludfest 2025 is set to be bigger and bolder, with Yungblud leading the charge on and off the stage.
