BBC Music has confirmed a world-exclusive television special, Madonna & Graham, featuring pop icon Madonna in conversation with Graham Norton. The programme airs on BBC One on Friday 26 June 2026.

The intimate interview was recorded at Koko in Camden, London, the same venue where Madonna performed her first UK show in 1983 and launched her 2005 album. It arrives just ahead of her new studio album Confessions II, due in July 2026.

Madonna reflects on her early days in New York, her long relationship with British audiences, and her recent Coachella performance. The special also includes a segment with her longtime collaborator and producer Stuart Price, who joins them to discuss the creative process behind the upcoming record.

Graham Norton on interviewing Madonna at Koko

“As a lifelong fan it is always a thrill to interview Madonna, but to meet her on the dance floor where she first performed in London over thirty years ago felt incredibly special.”

Norton, one of television’s most respected interviewers, praised Madonna as an “inimitable pop visionary.”

Why BBC commissioned the special

Jonathan Rothery, Head of BBC Popular Music TV, called the project a “no-brainer,” citing the compelling chemistry between the master of chat and one of music’s most influential artists.

Madonna’s UK chart legacy

Throughout her career Madonna has scored 13 UK Number 1 singles and 12 UK Number 1 albums, cementing her place among the best-selling recording artists of all time.

How to watch and listen

The television special airs on BBC One on 26 June 2026. A radio version of the interview will follow on BBC Radio 2 on Saturday 4 July 2026. Both programmes will be available to stream on BBC iPlayer and BBC Sounds for 30 days after broadcast.
