Yungblud has broken his leg in a motorcycle accident in South Dakota, but the Doncaster rock star says he will still perform at upcoming festivals in Portugal and Belgium.
The 29-year-old musician, whose real name is Dominic Harrison, suffered the injury in a minor motorcycle accident at the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally last week. He confirmed the news on Instagram on Sunday, 16 August, posting photos of himself with his leg in a cast.
“Leg f**ked. Still giggin. Still standin (sort of).”
“Portugal and Belgium I’m comin and it’s gonna be f**king mad. See you next week. Let’s ride.”
Yungblud plans to perform with broken leg
A representative for Yungblud confirmed to Billboard that he broke his leg during the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally in Sturgis, South Dakota.
The annual event ran from 7 to 16 August. Yungblud was seen riding a dirt bike around Sturgis before performing at the rally on 9 August.
Despite already having hurt his leg, he took to the stage that night with a visible limp and told the audience he had been advised by doctors not to perform.
He is due to appear at Portugal’s CA Vilar de Mouros Festival and Belgium’s Pukkelpop Festival this week.
Yungblud is currently touring behind his 2025 album Idols and his collaborative EP with Aerosmith, One More Time.
Yungblud previously cancelled a festival appearance
The injury comes shortly after Yungblud cancelled a Canadian festival appearance to focus on his wellbeing.
In July, he pulled out of the Cowboys Music Festival in Calgary after previously opening up about struggling with his mental health during a performance at Bludfest in Czechia.
“To all my family in Canada, I apologise for not being there with you all this weekend – I’m currently in a place where I’m working on myself and taking time off at home in the UK.”
“I’m taking this extremely seriously and facing head on what’s going on for the good of the long term.”
During his June 27 Bludfest performance, Yungblud became emotional and told fans he had been struggling with feelings of disconnection and pain.
“Lately, I have felt so disconnected from everything. I have been trying my best to wake up every day. I have felt in pain a lot and I don’t know why for a long time.”
