Stevie Wonder Announces Songs In The Key Of Life 50th Anniversary Tour

Stevie Wonder

Stevie Wonder has announced an 18-date Songs in the Key of Life 50th anniversary tour, with the legendary singer and musician set to perform his classic 1976 album in full at every show.

The tour begins at Birmingham’s Utilita Arena on 13 October 2026 and will travel across the UK and Europe before reaching the United States. Wonder will conclude the run with a performance at Los Angeles’ Intuit Dome on 19 December 2026.

Released in 1976, Songs in the Key of Life remains one of Stevie Wonder’s most acclaimed albums. The record earned Wonder his third Grammy Award for Album of the Year and includes songs such as “I Wish”, “Isn’t She Lovely”, “As” and “Sir Duke”.

The album also features contributions from musicians including Herbie Hancock, George Benson and Minnie Riperton. Wonder produced, wrote and arranged nearly every track while playing most of the instruments himself.

Songs in the Key of Life has also been added to the National Recording Registry overseen by the Library of Congress.

Stevie Wonder will perform Songs In The Key Of Life in full

The anniversary tour will give fans the opportunity to hear Songs in the Key of Life performed as a complete album rather than as a selection of songs within a wider greatest-hits set.

The 1976 double album became a landmark release in Wonder’s career, combining soul, funk, pop, jazz and R&B across a wide-ranging collection of songs.

Its best-known tracks include “Sir Duke”, “I Wish” and “Isn’t She Lovely”, while the album’s deeper cuts have helped establish it as one of the defining records of Wonder’s catalogue.

The 50th anniversary shows will therefore place the entire album at the centre of each performance.

Stevie Wonder returns to touring after 2024

The Songs in the Key of Life anniversary tour marks Wonder’s first official tour since his 11-city Sing Your Song! As We Fix Our Nation’s Broken Heart run in autumn 2024.

Since then, Wonder has continued to make selected live appearances.

He performed as part of a tribute to Quincy Jones at the 2025 Grammy Awards and later joined the celebration of Sly Stone at the 2025 Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony.

The new tour will see Wonder return to major arenas across Europe and North America, including London’s The O2, Madison Square Garden in New York and the United Center in Chicago.
