Charli XCX has become the first British female artist to score two new UK Number 1 albums in the same calendar year. Her latest release, Music, Fashion, Film, has debuted at the top of the Official Albums Chart, following the success of Wuthering Heights, which reached Number 1 in February 2026.
The achievement marks another milestone in Charli XCX‘s career, giving her four UK Number 1 albums and placing her alongside some of the biggest names in British chart history.

By earning two new Number 1 albums in 2026, Charli becomes the first British female solo artist to achieve the feat within a single calendar year.
She now joins an exclusive list of artists who have achieved two UK Number 1 albums in the same year, including The Beatles, David Bowie, Elton John, Ed Sheeran, Taylor Swift, Rihanna and Diana Ross.
Music, Fashion, Film also tops the Vinyl Chart
Alongside its success on the Official Albums Chart, Music, Fashion, Film also debuts at Number 1 on the Official Vinyl Albums Chart, recording the highest sales of vinyl albums in the UK over the past week.
The result continues the strong demand for physical releases among Charli XCX’s fanbase, following the commercial success of her recent albums.
