Since opening its doors in 2019, Coca-Cola Arena has become a mainstay of Dubai’s live entertainment scene. From global pop tours to stand-up comedy, boxing bouts to K-pop festivals, this purpose-built, multi-purpose venue has helped transform the city into a must-play destination for international acts touring the Middle East.
Whether you’re heading there for the first time or just want to make the most of your next gig, here’s everything you need to know about the venue, the layout, and the experience of seeing a show at Dubai’s biggest indoor arena.

A world-class venue in the heart of Dubai
Located in City Walk, between Al Wasl Road and Sheikh Zayed Road, Coca-Cola Arena is the UAE’s first fully air-conditioned, fully enclosed arena of its size. With a flexible capacity of up to 17,000, it’s one of the largest indoor arenas in the region, and one of the few capable of hosting concerts, sporting events and live theatre year-round — even in the peak of Dubai summer.
The arena was built by Meraas and is operated by ASM Global, the same company behind London’s O2 Arena and LA’s Crypto.com Arena (formerly Staples Center). It opened on 6 June 2019 with a headline comedy performance from Russell Peters, followed quickly by the likes of Maroon 5, Tony Robbins, and Hugh Jackman. In just five years, it has hosted more than 250 events and welcomed hundreds of thousands of fans through its doors.
What it’s like inside
The design of Coca-Cola Arena is sleek, modern and modular. Inside, it’s all about visibility and versatility. Every seat has a clear view of the stage, and the venue can be reconfigured for seated concerts, standing shows, sporting events, or even smaller, intimate performances. The staging, rigging and LED systems are world-class, and the acoustics have been carefully tuned for everything from full rock bands to spoken-word events.
There are five levels, including general admission seating, premium hospitality boxes, and corporate suites. The lower bowl offers the closest connection to the stage, particularly sections 102 to 104 and 113 to 115, which are usually considered the prime viewing spots. For fans who prefer a quieter, elevated view, the upper tiers provide excellent sightlines.
The entire space is air-conditioned, which is more than a luxury in Dubai — it’s a necessity. You can catch a full-blown stadium-scale concert in the middle of July and still be comfortable.

Getting there: Transport and parking
Coca-Cola Arena is one of the most accessible venues in Dubai. It sits just off Sheikh Zayed Road and is walking distance from the Burj Khalifa/Dubai Mall metro station on the Red Line. From there, it’s a 10–15 minute walk through City Walk.
If you’re driving, limited on-site parking is available but fills up fast. Additional parking is scattered around the City Walk district, including underground lots and paid RTA zones. If you’re planning to park, aim to arrive early. Ride-hailing is usually the best bet — Careem and Uber both have designated pick-up and drop-off zones near the arena’s main entrances.
Food, drink and facilities
Inside the venue, the food and beverage offering is surprisingly broad. You’ll find more than 35 options across all levels, from loaded burgers and pizzas to shawarma, noodles, desserts and popcorn. There are also licensed bars on site, and many suites include private catering. Payment is cashless throughout the arena.
Other facilities include clean and well-maintained toilets on every level, prayer rooms, and helpful staff stationed throughout the concourse. Merchandise stands are typically located near the entrances during concerts.
The arena is also accessibility-certified. There are 28 designated wheelchair spaces with companion seating, accessible bathrooms, sensory rooms for people with autism or anxiety, and trained support staff. These features helped the venue earn its autism-friendly certification, a first in the region.

Ticketing and entry
Tickets for Coca-Cola Arena shows are usually sold via the venue’s official website, through WhatsApp, or at the arena’s box office located near entrances C and D. On the day of the event, the box office typically opens a few hours before doors. You’ll need to bring ID and the payment card used for online purchases to collect your ticket.
Security is tight but efficient. Bags are checked at the entrance, and there are clear signage and multiple entry lanes to keep queues moving. Doors generally open 60–90 minutes before showtime, so arriving early is always a good idea.
