Liam Gallagher Tells Noel Gallagher To ‘Announce The Tour’ As Oasis Fans Wait For News

Liam Gallagher

Liam Gallagher has appeared to urge his brother Noel Gallagher to announce Oasis’ next tour, adding to speculation that the reunited band could return to the stage in 2027.

The Oasis frontman addressed the growing demand for news on X on Monday 24 August 2026, after fans continued to ask when the band would confirm their next run of shows.

“Ffs RKID announce the tour we’re all losing our minds.”

The message appears to suggest that Liam is waiting for Noel, whom he addresses as “RKID”, to make the announcement. However, neither brother nor Oasis has officially confirmed a 2027 tour.

Oasis rumours intensify after reunion tour

Oasis reunited for their Oasis Live ’25 tour last year, marking their first shows together in 16 years. The sold-out run sparked renewed speculation that the band could continue performing beyond the reunion dates.

Those rumours intensified after promoters behind the previous Oasis shows were granted a licence to stage large-scale events at Knebworth.

According to BBC News, North Hertfordshire Council approved an application from SJM Concerts with immediate effect. The licence permits events for up to 125,000 people and allows performances to continue into the early hours.

The council approval does not identify Oasis as the intended act, and no artist has been officially announced for the events.

Knebworth has nevertheless become a major focus of Oasis speculation because the band famously performed two concerts there in August 1996, attracting hundreds of thousands of fans across the two dates.

Could Oasis return to Knebworth?

Reports have suggested that Oasis could return to Knebworth for as many as six concerts in 2027.

There have also been reports of a lengthy Manchester residency at the Etihad Stadium.

A source previously told The Sun‘s Bizarre column that the proposed schedule included 12 shows at the Etihad Stadium followed by six Knebworth concerts.

“Oasis’ schedule is booked. It’s 12 nights at the Etihad over six weeks starting in June.”

“They will then play Knebworth six times over a three-week period in September. Dates could be added but for now that’s the master plan.”

Those claims have not been confirmed by Oasis, their representatives or the venues.

Liam Gallagher rules out Glastonbury

While speculation about further Oasis shows continues, Liam has previously dismissed suggestions that the band will headline Glastonbury in 2027.

Responding to a fan on X, he wrote:

“It’s not happening. So all you croc wearing, flag waving, s*** c**** can calm the f*** down. (sic)”

He has also continued to tease the possibility of more Oasis performances, writing:

“If we do any more gigs we’re gonna lick it up to ras. (sic)”
