About Dalia Mubarak

Dalia Mubarak is one of Saudi Arabia’s most successful recording artists and a leading voice in the evolution of Khaleeji music. Known for blending traditional Gulf sounds with contemporary R&B, her work reflects a new generation of Saudi artists redefining music in the region.

Since her breakout debut in 2014, Dalia has become a fixture in the Arabic music scene. Her strong vocals, modern arrangements and confident stage presence have made her one of the most recognised female performers in the Gulf, both at home and across the Arab world.

Musical Style and Influence

Dalia’s music stands out for its ability to bridge past and present. She combines the rhythm and heritage of Khaleeji music — with instruments like the oud, tabl and duff — with polished modern production influenced by global pop and R&B. Her songs are personal but accessible, traditional but progressive.

This crossover sound has helped her reach fans across borders and across generations. It’s also positioned her as a cultural ambassador for young Saudis, particularly women, navigating identity, expression and creativity in a changing region.

Career Highlights

Dalia was born in Riyadh in 1991 and raised in a musical household that nurtured her talent from a young age. She started performing in public at just 14, taking part in national operettas and school concerts with encouragement from her father. After relocating to Dubai, she honed her craft and began writing and recording music professionally.

In 2014, she released her debut single Qalabt Al Tawla (Turn the Table), which quickly went viral and has now passed nine million views on YouTube. The track introduced her to a regional audience and marked a turning point for female representation in Saudi music.

In 2016, Dalia signed with Rotana and released her debut album Min Al Akher, followed by a string of popular singles including Khedni, Damet Ghala, Takhayel, Fariq An Alnass and Areen Al Ashq. In 2020, she released her first song in the Egyptian dialect, Elly Yemshy 3ady, expanding her fanbase across North Africa.

Her performances have included some of the Gulf’s biggest music festivals and live events, sharing stages with Arab music legends and regularly performing to sold-out crowds.

Breaking New Ground

In 2022, Dalia became the first Saudi female artist to sign with Warner Recorded Music, marking a significant milestone in her career and in the industry. The deal reflects her growing influence and her ability to move between regional and international markets without losing her cultural roots.

She was featured on the cover of Vogue Arabia and has won several awards, including Best Saudi Arabian Artist at the Distinctive International Arab Festivals Awards (DIAFA) in Dubai.

Beyond music, Dalia is widely seen as a role model for young Arab women. Her lyrics often touch on empowerment, identity and self-worth, and her presence in the spotlight challenges old assumptions about who gets to speak — and sing — in public.
