Pulp have unveiled the first teaser trailer for their upcoming concert documentary, PULP: What Do You Do For An Encore?, ahead of a one-night cinema event across the UK and Ireland this September.
Released by MUBI, the first-look preview combines footage from the Sheffield band’s acclaimed 2025 live shows with previously unseen archive material, offering fans an early look at the documentary before its theatrical release.
Concert film heads to cinemas this September
Directed by Garth Jennings, the film will receive a special one-night screening in UK and Irish cinemas on 18 September 2026, before opening in Canada on 23 September and the United States on 24 September.
Following its limited theatrical run, PULP: What Do You Do For An Encore? will stream exclusively on MUBI.
Jarvis Cocker narrates the band’s story
Narrated by Jarvis Cocker, the teaser showcases Pulp’s energetic live performances while hinting at the documentary’s wider story, tracing the band’s journey from Sheffield outsiders to one of Britain’s defining Britpop acts.
The film features performances from the band’s 2025 tour alongside archive footage spanning more than four decades of Pulp’s career.
Jennings previously directed the band’s 2023 and 2025 live productions and reunites with the group for the feature-length documentary.
