Róisín Waters, daughter of the late Sinéad O’Connor, has hinted that archival music from the singer could be released soon, revealing that the family is working with Chrysalis Records on plans to celebrate her legacy.

In a letter published on the official Sinéad O’Connor Instagram account on Monday 2 November 2026, the 30-year-old explained that she and her brothers want the platform to honour their mother’s music and life.

O’Connor died from natural causes in July 2023, aged 56.

Family working with Chrysalis Records on future releases

Waters confirmed that she and her brothers, Jake Reynolds and Yeshua Bonadio, are involved in managing their mother’s legacy through the family company, Deep Dana.

She also suggested that projects with Chrysalis Records are in development, although no details or release dates have been announced.

My brothers and I want these pages to be a place to celebrate Sinéad: her music, her life, and everything she meant to so many people. They are being managed with our full knowledge and consent. Through our family company, Deep Dana, we are actively involved in her legacy – including working with Chrysalis Records on the releases you’ll hear more about soon.

The statement offers the clearest indication yet that further music connected to O’Connor could be made available, with Waters promising more information in the near future.

Sinéad O’Connor’s family wants to share personal memories

Waters also said that she and her siblings may occasionally use the Instagram account to share their own thoughts and memories of their mother.

She acknowledged the different relationships fans and family members had with the singer, while thanking listeners for continuing to support her music.

She was your Sinéad, and she was our mum. We’d like to make room for both. Thank you for continuing to listen, and for the love you have shown her over the years. It means a lot to us. With love, Róisín.

O’Connor was also mother to Shane Lunny, who died by suicide in January 2022, aged 17.

Sinéad O’Connor’s final studio album

O’Connor released ten studio albums during her career. Her final studio record, I’m Not Bossy, I’m the Boss, arrived in August 2014.

The Irish singer-songwriter became internationally known for her 1990 recording of Prince’s Nothing Compares 2 U, which reached number one in several countries and remains one of the defining recordings of her career.

Her family has not yet confirmed what the forthcoming releases with Chrysalis Records will contain. For now, Waters’ statement suggests that more of O’Connor’s musical legacy could soon be shared with the public.
