Stereophonics Confirm Return To Dubai With October Show At Coca-Cola Arena

Stereophonics are heading back to Dubai. The Welsh rock heavyweights will perform live at Coca-Cola Arena on Tuesday 29 October 2024 as part of their international Stadium Anthems Tour.

The gig marks the band’s first appearance in the UAE since 2019, when they played a sold-out show at Dubai Media City Amphitheatre. Before that, they performed at Party in the Park in 2015. Now, they’re back with a setlist stacked with fan favourites and new material.

A career built on anthems

Formed in the early 1990s in the village of Cwmaman, South Wales, Stereophonics began as school friends rehearsing in a garage. The original trio of Kelly Jones, Richard Jones and the late Stuart Cable signed to V2 Records in the mid-’90s and quickly carved out a space in British rock.

Their debut album, Word Gets Around (1997), made waves with gritty small-town storytelling. By 1999, Performance and Cocktails pushed them into the mainstream. Since then, the band has released 11 studio albums, including the UK Number One Keep the Village Alive (2015) and 2022’s Oochya!

Over the years, Stereophonics have earned:

  • Nine UK Number One albums
  • Eleven UK Top 10 singles
  • One UK Number One single with Dakota
  • Over 10 million albums sold worldwide
  • 1.5 billion global streams
  • Five BRIT Award nominations and one win

The stadium anthems tour comes to Dubai

The 2024–2025 Stadium Anthems Tour celebrates the band’s decades-spanning catalogue, combining huge hits like Maybe Tomorrow, C’est La Vie, Have a Nice Day and A Thousand Trees with newer songs from their recent studio output.

“Being on the road again with my best friends, playing all the hits from this band’s catalogue for people at huge outdoor gatherings throughout 2025 makes me so excited,” said frontman Kelly Jones.
“We should make a new album. Oh wait, we already did that! See you there for more good times, tune, tune, tune!”

This Dubai date promises to be one of the key live rock events in the UAE this year.
