Ticketmaster has reclaimed Olivia Rodrigo tickets that it says were bought in breach of its sales rules and is offering them back to fans at the original face value for The Unraveled Tour. Fans can submit requests until Friday 21 August at 11:59pm ET.
The reclaimed tickets are being prioritised for fans who missed out during the original sale, following widespread frustration over inflated resale prices.
Ticketmaster reclaims Olivia Rodrigo tickets from scalpers
Ticketmaster said the tickets being returned to sale were purchases that violated the rules of the original ticket sale.
The company described the reclaimed seats as tickets:
“that broke the rules of the sales and are being released directly back to fans, at the original prices set by the tour.”
The tickets will be offered at the prices originally established for The Unraveled Tour, rather than the much higher prices often seen on secondary resale platforms.
Fans must submit a request through Ticketmaster, although the company has stressed that making a request does not guarantee that tickets will be allocated.
How to request Olivia Rodrigo tickets
Fans hoping to secure one of the reclaimed tickets must select their preferred shows, provide payment information and submit a single request.
Ticketmaster may place a temporary $1 authorisation on a payment card. The hold will be released if the request is unsuccessful.
If a fan is selected, Ticketmaster will automatically charge the payment method provided after the request window closes.
Confirmation emails will be sent following submission, although Ticketmaster warns that they may take some time to arrive.
Fans selected for tickets will receive their status update on Friday 28 August. Those who are not selected will not receive an email, but can check their status through the “My Request” section of their Ticketmaster account.
Olivia Rodrigo ticket request rules
There are several restrictions on how many tickets fans can request.
- Fans can request up to four tickets per event.
- Requests can be made for a maximum of two events per country.
- A maximum of four shows can be requested across the US and Canada.
- Only one request is permitted per Ticketmaster account.
- Multiple requests or multiple accounts can result in cancellation.
- Payment information must be valid and current.
- Declined payment cards can invalidate a successful request.
Ticketmaster has introduced the restrictions to prevent fans from attempting to bypass the allocation process or secure more tickets than permitted.
$25 Olivia Rodrigo Silver Star tickets also coming
Fans who miss out on the reclaimed tickets will have another low-cost opportunity to see Rodrigo on The Unraveled Tour.
Ticketmaster will open requests for $25 “Silver Star” tickets from 1 September at 3pm ET.
The programme offers another route for fans who are unable or unwilling to pay inflated secondary-market prices.
All tickets made available through the reclaimed-ticket programme will be sold at the original tour price, according to Ticketmaster.

Fans have until 11:59pm ET on Friday 21 August 2026 to submit their request for the reclaimed The Unraveled Tour tickets.
Successful applicants will be notified on Friday 28 August.
