Ellie Rowsell has revealed she contributed backing vocals to tracks on Harry Styles’ upcoming album Kiss All the Time. Disco, Occasionally, describing the studio experience as a “real pleasure”.
The Wolf Alice frontwoman said she was invited to Styles’ studio to hear songs from the record and record harmonies ahead of the album’s release on 6 March.

Speaking to NME, Rowsell explained how the collaboration came about.
“I was chuffed to be able to go to his studio and listen to some of his songs and put down some harmonies. It was a real pleasure.
“I actually haven’t heard the whole album in its entirety yet, so I’m looking forward to it.”
Release details and Harry Styles’ first album since 2022
Kiss All the Time. Disco, Occasionally will be Styles’ first studio album since Harry’s House, released in 2022. That record debuted at number one in both the UK and the US and went on to win three Grammy Awards, including Album of the Year.
With nearly four years between releases, Styles said he waited until the music felt right before returning with a new project.
“For me the making of the whole album was a really important time in my life. Taking a big step away from everything, I just learnt a lot about myself and the way that I wanted to work … I feel really excited about it, I’m excited to play it to people and that felt like a really good reason for the timing to be right for putting it out.”
The meaning behind the album title
Styles also spoke about the meaning behind the album title during an appearance on Hits Radio’s breakfast show, hosted by Fleur East, Will Best and James Barr.
“It’s a life mantra! It’s unhealthy to disco all the time so loving and moving through your life with love and then taking a break every now and again to have some fun is a really good way to approach your life. And I feel like that’s what I did for the last couple of years and it led to positive changes in my life so…”
Styles also said time spent in Italy influenced the idea behind the album’s title.
“You can probably stop [kissing] to eat and stuff – definitely an extended lunch break – and then right back to it … I spent a lot of time with Italians the last year or so and they’re kissing all the time so … it’s just art imitating life.”
