Céline Dion Announces Paris Comeback Shows With 10-Night Residency At La Défense Arena

Celine Dion

Céline Dion has confirmed her long-awaited return to live performance, announcing a 10-night residency at Paris La Défense Arena in September and October 2026.

The shows mark her first full live run since 2020, following her diagnosis with Stiff Person Syndrome in December 2022.

Comeback shows confirmed for Paris

Dion will perform at the 40,000-capacity Paris La Défense Arena across 10 dates, with concerts spaced out to support her recovery and manage the physical demands of performing.

The announcement was made on 30 March 2026, her 58th birthday, via a video message shared with fans.

“I’m so ready to do this,” she told fans. “I’m feeling good, I’m strong, I’m feeling excited, obviously, [and] of course, a little nervous.”

Tickets go on sale from 7 April, with pre-registration opening on 31 March through her official website. Demand is expected to be high following years away from the stage.

First live shows since 2020

Dion has not performed a full concert since 8 March 2020 in Newark, New Jersey, when her Courage World Tour was halted by the Covid-19 pandemic and later cancelled due to her health condition.

In her message, she addressed her recovery and current condition:

“I’m doing great, managing my health, feeling good. I’m singing again, even doing a little bit of dancing.”

“But I have to tell you something very important: Over these last few years, every day that’s gone by, I felt your prayers and support, your kindness and love.”

“I am grateful to all of you. I can’t wait to see you again.”

Living and performing with Stiff Person Syndrome

Stiff Person Syndrome is a rare neurological condition that affects muscle control, causing stiffness and spasms that can impact mobility and vocal performance.

Dion first revealed her diagnosis in 2022, explaining that it had affected “every aspect” of her daily life. The condition forced her to cancel all scheduled shows and step away from touring.

In previous interviews, she described the physical impact of the illness, including difficulty walking and strain on her voice.

Paris campaign hinted at comeback

The official announcement follows a wave of teaser activity across Paris, including posters featuring lyrics from songs like My Heart Will Go On and The Power of Love.

The moment was capped by a large-scale activation at the Eiffel Tower, which lit up with the message “Paris, je suis prête” as her music played across the landmark.

A carefully managed return

All 10 dates are spaced several days apart, reflecting a deliberate approach to her return to live performance.

Dion has previously spoken about her intensive rehabilitation routine, which includes physical, athletic and vocal therapy multiple days a week.

Her gradual return began with a high-profile appearance at the 2024 Paris Olympics, where she performed Hymne à l’Amour from the Eiffel Tower.
