Justin Bieber has been confirmed for the first-ever FIFA World Cup Final Halftime Show, joining Madonna, BTS and Shakira for the historic performance at New York New Jersey Stadium on 19 July 2026.

FIFA and international advocacy organisation Global Citizen announced the expanded lineup on Wednesday, revealing that the show will also feature Nigerian superstar Burna Boy. The 11-minute performance will take place during the 2026 FIFA World Cup Final and marks the tournament’s first official halftime entertainment spectacle.

Speaking about his involvement, Bieber said:

“The FIFA World Cup brings the world together in a way nothing else can. I’m grateful to be part of this Halftime Show, and even more grateful knowing it’s already helping expand access to education for children around the world.”

Burna Boy joins star-studded World Cup Final lineup

Burna Boy has also been added to the bill. The Grammy-winning artist recently collaborated with Shakira on Dai Dai, the official song of the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

He said:

“The FIFA World Cup is one of the few moments that truly brings the entire world together.”

“To represent Africa on the first-ever FIFA World Cup Final Halftime Show is a privilege and a responsibility that I don’t take lightly. I’m honoured to be part of a performance that not only celebrates football and culture but also helps create greater opportunities for children through education around the world.”

Chris Martin to curate inaugural FIFA World Cup Final Halftime Show

The production is being curated by Coldplay frontman Chris Martin. The show will also feature renowned conductor Gustavo Dudamel and New York’s acclaimed PS 22 Chorus.

The halftime event will support the FIFA Global Citizen Education Fund, an initiative designed to improve access to quality education and football opportunities for children worldwide.

FIFA President Gianni Infantino said the landmark event will leave a lasting legacy beyond the final itself.

“Celebrate football, music and our shared values, ensuring a legacy that transcends the final whistle.”

FIFA World Cup Final enters new entertainment era

The introduction of a halftime show represents a major shift for the FIFA World Cup Final, bringing the tournament closer to the entertainment model seen at events such as the Super Bowl.

With Justin Bieber, Madonna, BTS, Shakira and Burna Boy sharing the stage, the inaugural FIFA World Cup Final Halftime Show is set to become one of the biggest live music moments of 2026.
