The newly announced tour begins in Dallas, Texas, on 5 August and will visit major cities across the United States and Canada, including New York City, Chicago and Toronto.
The run is scheduled to conclude in Los Angeles, California, on 27 August, marking North West’s first major tour as a recording artist.
The announcement follows growing interest in West’s music career, which has accelerated over the past year as she moves from social media celebrity to emerging artist.
North West’s music career continues to grow
Born in June 2013, North West released her debut EP, N0rth4Evr, on 1 May and has steadily built attention around her music and creative projects.
In addition to performing, West has reportedly begun exploring music production, creating beats for other young hip-hop artists and expanding her role beyond recording and live performance.
She recently signed with independent music company Gamma, a move widely viewed as a significant step in the development of her music career.
From celebrity child to emerging artist
As the eldest child of reality television star Kim Kardashian and rapper Ye, North West has spent much of her life in the public eye.
In recent months, she has generated headlines not only for her music but also for her fashion choices and growing influence among younger audiences online.
While comparisons to her famous parents are inevitable, the upcoming tour represents the clearest indication yet that she is pursuing a career in music on her own terms.
What fans can expect
Details about the tour’s setlists and supporting acts have yet to be announced, but fans can likely expect material from N0rth4Evr alongside collaborative performances with Molly Santana.
The tour will provide North West with her biggest live platform to date as she looks to establish herself in a competitive new generation of hip-hop and pop artists.
