About

FLECKS are Freya Monks and Scott Halliday, a Dublin-based synth-pop duo who have been writing and producing music together since 2012. All music is written and produced by Monks and Halliday, with recording and mixing handled by Halliday.

Musical Style and Influences

FLECKS draw influence from 1980s films, classic synth-pop, and dark, atmospheric film scores. Their work is built around synthesiser-led production, melodic vocals, and cinematic arrangements.

Breakthrough Moments

In 2016, FLECKS released their debut EP Girl, recorded, produced, and mixed in their Dublin studio. The track Objects of Desire was featured in RTÉ’s drama series Striking Out.

In 2018, the single Samurai premiered on RTÉ 2FM’s The Alternative with Dan Hegarty and was later included on Spotify’s New Music Friday UK playlist. By September 2025, the track had surpassed one million streams.

Artist Identity and Growth

Following Samurai, FLECKS released Doubles in 2019, which was selected for use in a global Estée Lauder advertising campaign. In mid-2020, they released Cinematic Heartbreak, followed by You Bet I Would, continuing their release run before a period of reduced public activity.

What’s Next
