Taylor Swift has revealed her favourite song from her own music catalogue during an interview on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert on Wednesday, 29 January 2026. The 35-year-old pop star discussed her top tracks while promoting her upcoming concert film and docuseries.
When Colbert asked Swift to list her top five songs from her albums—a question previously posed to music legends like Dolly Parton and Bruce Springsteen—she chose the 10-minute version of All Too Well, released on her re-recorded album Red (Taylor’s Version) in 2021.
“I’m really obsessed with The Life of a Showgirl right now, the whole album,” Swift said, referencing her twelfth studio album, released in October 2025.
She also highlighted Mirrorball from her 2020 album Folklore but admitted she struggled to complete a full top five list.
“Oh, wow, OK. This is so much pressure,” she told Colbert. “Because I don’t have enough, see. I think I require a little bit of time to like, appreciate my work in a way… and it’s constantly changing, right? It’s a little too soon.”
Swift suggested she might update the list in the future.
“We could do an update at some point,” she said, with Colbert responding, “You’ve got all the time you need between now and May.”
In July 2025, CBS announced it would end The Late Show with Stephen Colbert and retire the franchise in May 2026.
Swift appeared on the show to promote The Eras Tour: The Final Show concert film and her six-part docuseries Taylor Swift: The End of an Era, both set to begin streaming on Disney+ on 12 December 2026.
