Heatwave joins as special guest

Support across all four dates will come from Heatwave, the influential funk and disco group behind hits including Boogie Nights and Always And Forever.

The addition of Heatwave strengthens the nostalgic appeal of the tour, bringing together two acts that helped define the sound of the 1970s and early 1980s.

Celebrating the legacy of The Jackson 5

The Jacksons first rose to international fame as The Jackson 5, featuring brothers Jackie, Tito, Jermaine, Marlon and Michael Jackson.

Signed to Motown in the late 1960s, the group became one of the most successful family acts in music history, scoring a string of chart-topping hits including I Want You Back, ABC and I’ll Be There.

Following Michael Jackson’s departure to focus on his solo career, the group continued recording and touring as The Jacksons, releasing successful tracks such as Can You Feel It, Shake Your Body (Down To The Ground) and Blame It On The Boogie.

The group were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in recognition of their impact on popular music.

Michael Jackson theatre stars join the live show

The tour will also feature performers closely associated with Michael Jackson’s stage legacy.

Mitchell Zhangazha, who portrayed Michael Jackson in MJ The Musical, will appear during the shows, alongside Haydon Eshun, who starred in London’s long-running Thriller Live production for more than a decade.

Michael Jackson biopic boosts interest in The Jacksons

Renewed interest in The Jacksons’ music has coincided with the Michael Jackson biopic, Michael.

The film stars Jaafar Jackson, the son of Jermaine Jackson, in the lead role.

According to Billboard, streaming of The Jacksons’ catalogue has surged by more than 163%, with classics such as I Want You Back and Blame It On The Boogie experiencing significant growth in recent months.
