Saloni is a British Asian singer-songwriter based in London and Milton Keynes. She began training in Indian classical music at the age of four before expanding into Bollywood and Western pop.
Her work combines original music and remixes, drawing from both her British upbringing and Indian heritage. She performs in more than ten languages and has appeared on UK television via the BBC and in India on TV9.

Musical Styles & Influences

Saloni’s music blends pop, R&B, and Bollywood, often incorporating multiple South Asian languages within a single track.
Her early influences include classical Indian music alongside mainstream pop artists, shaping a style that combines traditional vocal approaches with contemporary production.
She is among a small group of UK artists actively integrating multiple South Asian languages into original pop releases, with a focus on bridging Eastern and Western musical traditions.

Breakthrough Moments

Saloni first gained chart traction with her debut EP Moving On, which reached No. 2 in India’s pop charts and entered the UK Top 50.
Her follow-up EP On My Own also charted, reaching No. 2 in India and No. 18 in the UK pop charts.

Her single Nee Gundellounna became a key breakthrough, generating over 5 million views and reaching No. 16 on the Official UK Asian Music Charts.

In 2024, she released the EP Rani, which debuted at No. 1 on the iTunes worldwide genre charts.
The project also received support across platforms including BBC Asian Network playlists and industry media coverage.

Artist Identity & Growth

Saloni’s work is defined by multilingual songwriting and cross-cultural collaboration. She has released music in languages including English, Punjabi, Telugu and Tamil, often within the same track.
Her releases frequently involve collaborations with producers and artists from both UK and South Asian music scenes, reflecting a hybrid approach to production and songwriting.

Alongside recorded output, she has performed at major UK venues and festivals including Wembley Arena, BBC Radio 1 Big Weekend, The Great Escape, and Godiva Festival.

Her work has been recognised with industry awards including Music Artist of the Year at the HSBC Ethnicity Awards and Best Urban Artist at the UK Bhangra Awards.
